Extended Description
Indications: Treatment of depressive disorders, including depression accompanied by symptoms of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder with associated (or not), agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder in children, post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dosage: Oral, morning or evening, without food. The dose and frequency of use determined by your doctor. The onset of therapeutic effect may occur within 7 days for full effect, however, usually need more time. The drug should be discontinued gradually (not suddenly stop treatment). Drug should not be used in children and adolescents below 18 years of age (except in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder). It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking sertraline. This medicine can impair psychomotor performance, use caution when driving and machinery operation.

Possible side effects: The most common are dizziness, drowsiness or agitation, headache, anorexia, abnormal vision, tinnitus, palpitations, nausea, diarrhea, sweating, dry mouth, sexual dysfunction. Rare: convulsions and abnormal liver function.

Tell your doctor: When you have epilepsy, you have a weak heart, liver disorders. When you are taking other antidepressants, antiepileptic drugs, anticoagulants, drugs inhibiting the enzyme monoamine oxidase - MAO e.g. Aurorix, Mocloxil, Jumex, Selerin, Selgin (treatment with these drugs can be started in 14 days after treatment with sertraline). If you are or think that you're pregnant and when breastfeeding. Use in lactating women and pregnant is not advisable, unless medical evaluation by the benefits outweigh the risks. Women of child-bearing period using sertraline should use the appropriate method of contraception.
